2026 has arrived and is moving along at a dizzying speed. The news, both national and international, is ominous. Yet, there is still much good in the world, and moments where we can slow things down, ponder, and reflect. My first post this year is a review of The Wounded Line: A Guide To Writing Poems Of Trauma by Jehanne Dubrow, a book I highly recommend. It is available on Amazon, or better yet, support your local bookshop. https://sarahtcolby.com/2026/01/09/recommended-reading/
You can still read the short Advent essays from December. They are on the menu – Ornamental:Stories for Christmas 2025
